On a general sequence of Durrmeyer operators

Abstract

In this paper we establish direct and inverse theorems in simultaneous approximation using weighted Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness for a generalized sequence of Bernstein-Durrmeyer polynomials. The particular cases are Sz´asz Durrmeyer and Baskakov Durrmeyer operators.
