Instantaneous shrinking of compact support of solutions of semi-linear parabolic equations with singular absorption

Abstract

We prove an existence of weak solutions of semi-linear parabolic equations with a strong singular absorption term. Moreover, we study the qualitative behavior of solutions such as the quenching phenomenon, the nite speed of propagation and the instantaneous shrinking of compact support.
